Control cooling in hot rolling mill is a very important method to control and improve the quality of product. Laminar cooling control is one of control cooling , and coiling temperature is one important parameter of performance of hot strip.In the paper, all of the research works are based on the improving project about laminar cooling computer control system of Chengde hot rolling strip mill. Coiling temperature control's primary aim is making sure the coiling temperature keep in a asked extent. Except that ,control system also needs the temperature in width be symmetrical. The research include both of the questions. First, researching the interior flow field of the laminar cooling device to improve the equal capability in width of strip. Then we used computer control system to improve the ability of controlling coiling temperature.(1)The equal capability research in width of strip uses the CFD method which is a new method about fluid mechanical research. The paper used this method simulate the interior flow field of different interior structure of laminar cooling device, the aim is to find best interior structure. After that, designing a better model to improve the interior structure.(2)CFD simulate the exterior flow field of the cooling water after fall freely. The aim is to make sure the wide of impingement area, it is very useful for a precision mathematical model. And the paper analyze the states of CFD method used in steel and iron industry.(3)Coiling temperature control in length use the improved computer control system structure, and we compile the program for the computer control system. In the paper, we introduce the improved hardware structure of the computer control system. On the basis of heat transfer theory, several coiling temperature theory model is summarized. The control system's structure andthe control algorithms are analyzed; this work build the foundation for the computer control system.(4)Senior language be used to compile the control system's software. Basing on high stability,high reliability,high target data acquisition, do our best to design friendly interfaces which have good manipulation and mutual. All of the software be debugged online. After that, all of the software run in the factory for long time. And the result shows that all of the research and work is successful.
