| Red Mud(RM) is a kind of solid waster of the alumina production process, and its yield is tremendous. In summing up domestic and foreign comprehensive utilization of red mud, this paper obtained a new method for developing RM as adsorbent.RM as the main raw material, fly ash for activating agent with a certain amount of curing agent, binder, Pore agent according to a certain proportion mixed , adding a certain moisture, making plastics granulator into the ball, after drying under certain temperature, roasting for a period of time, then obtains the finished red mud adsorbent. And on the adsorption properties of the test and its characterization is researched.Granulation of red mud adsorbent has better effect on adsorption of Cu2+,Pb2+ and Cd2+ ions. Na+,Ca2+,Mg2+ have little impact on adsorption of Cu2+,Pb2+ and Cd2+ ions. But Al3+,Fe3+ could obviously decrease the adsorption rate. NO3- have little impact on adsorption of Cu2+,Pb2+ and Cd2+ ions, As the concentration of the Cl- increasing, the adsorption rate of the Pb2+ increases, at the same time, the adsorption Cu2+,Cd2+ of decrease, and others increase. HA and ABS can obviously decrease the adsorption rate of Cu2+,Pb2+ and Cd2+ ions.Dynamic experiments research the factors of different flow, different influent concentration, and bed height on the adsorption. The results showed that with the increased flow, the influent concentration and the height of the bed increase, the effluent water concentration is even greater, and adsorption rate decreases, penetration time shortens. The adsorbent's performance has no change, when it is dunked by HCl, but the resist power rate decreases.Alkalescence and metal ions can be concreted well in the adsorbent, at the same time, reduces the turbidity pollution by using powder RM. The pH and turbidity of the treated waste water can meet emission standard. |
