The PVA/Sericin blended hydrogels were prepared by the method of repeated freezing and thawing. After air-drying, the membranes with good mechanical properties and bio-miscibility were prepared. The membranes can change into hydrogels again by swelling in water and were hoped to be used in the area of bio-medicine.Membranes with different properties and structures have been prepared by changing the ratio of the two phases, the number of freezing-thawing cycles and the freezing temperature. We have systematically studied the properties of solubility and swelling in water, mechanical properties, crystallinity, thermal stability and their micro-structures.
