Cubical system material is one of the most extensively applied materials in industry. The influence of texture on performance of deep-drawing steel sheet and silicon-steel is well known. The accurate quantitative description to texture is the premise to establish the relationship of texture, and properties.On the base of the "two-step method" of ODF, the four main parts of works is studied as follows:1. Study on ODF quantitative system for orientation density with the 1°Euler angle as minimum unitThe minimum interval unit of software that description of ODF is 5°in the past. It is hard to guarantee the quantitative software for texture components. For this reason, the quantitative software with 1°interval unit of Euler angle was studied in this paper. This work is the foundation and prerequisite of ODF quantitative software for texture components.2. Study on ODF quantitative system for texture components(1) Model settingRegarding the orientation points as geometrical center, the three model is built which are Global Model, Cylinder Model and Cubical Model with the Diffusing-Sphere by setting the radius of sphere, the sphere of cylindrical subface, the height of cylinder and the half length of cubical edge.(2) Quantitative composition of texture componentsAccording to three kinds of quantitative models, the work is programmed for ODF quantitative analysis software system.3. Testing of ODF quantitative analysis system for texture components(1) Theoretical testing certificated that the quantitative analysis software of ODF texture components is correct.(2) Practical testing certificated that Global Model is the most suitable model for quantitative analysis of ODF texture components. The relative error of our software do not exceed 3% compare with the calculated result of already mature software.4. Application of quantitative analysis system of texture components in cold deformation and recrystallization texture of IF steel. It is shown that the ODF quantitative analysis system can calculate the definite volume fraction of face-texture in deep-drawing steel sheet for automobile by quantitative analysis of three kinds of different compositions of IF steel sheet, and it also can build the relationship between texture quantitative analysis and technology.
