In Wuxi Compounding & Chemistry Co. Ltd., the reutilization of aliphatic acid methyl ester, which is the in-process product in the producing technology of Aliphatic Alcohol, is very low. But as a very important raw material in fine chemistry engineering, its market is continually increasing. Therefore, in order to improve the separation efficiency as well as the production quality and the power consumption of distillation system of aliphatic acid methyl ester, Tianjin University developed a pack of technology for aliphatic acid methyl ester distillation system. For further research on the parameters of technologies for aliphatic acid methyl ester systems in distillation process, the national engineering research centre for distillation in Tianjin set up a stability simulation on distillation process, and established the mathematics models for the full flow. With mathematics models selection and the development of algorithm, the special simulation system for dephlegmation process is established. And by using the analysis on distillation process, this system can diagnose the property of the process to find out the optimal process parameters, and to introduce the adjusting optimization strategy for constraint condition based on practical production process. The process has its characteristics of complicated structure, numerous components and highly non-ideal system. Methyl ester distillation column is the key device in this process which is deeply analyzed and demonstrated in this paper. Stable model is improved and solved by MALAB software with triangle matrix and bubble point calculation based on established MESH equation. The internal iterative calculation is to correlate the equations of mass and phase equilibrium into a triple diagonal matrix from which the liquid compositions can be found out. Temperatures and equilibrium coefficients in the trays along the column are then solved through bubble point calculation. The external iteration regards flow rate of vapor as variable and can be calculated by heat equation by which the computation efficiency and stability are greatly improved. As to the non-ideal process of the system, we calculate the constant of the vapor-liquid equilibrium constant by making use of the Modified UNIFAC Method to solve the problem of lacking experimental data. After establishment and solving of the model mentioned above, the results of...
