With the rapid development of cars industry, plastic part is used widely in the car. According to main purpose, it was divided to two kinds: function part and structure part. But such partition is relative, plastic air intake manifold is not only function part but also structure part. Now domestic companies have no ability to design it. This paper belongs to a part of exploiting method.Aim to be not able to design mould of plastic air manifold by domestic technique. author think the injection mould can be designed successfully only by researching injection molding simulation. For plastic air intake manifold, the warpage is difficult to solve. By simulating injection process, researched warpage, air traps, weld lines of intake manifold. Analytic result showed four gates are better to Xiali 4GB plastic air intake manifold, and obtained the best gate's location. Summarized some important experience on designing injection mould of plastic air intake manifold. Made out very instructive work to succeed to design injection mould of plastic air intake manifold.The injection molding is an important tache to exploit plastic air intake manifold. Optimized all kinds of technic parameters, such as temperature, pressure, time. Researched mold surface temperature, melt temperature and keep pressure curves'influence to wrap. Obtain proper technic parameters.in basis of wrap,acquired the best fill time by constracting vary schemes and controlled wrap value less than 1mm.Present a new method to calculate fill time in basis of the flow simulation: lagrange insert value simulate curve to obtain the extremum.this method reduced numbers of flow simulation, increased efficiency.This paper'fruits not only will supervise directly mould design of Xiali 4GB plastic air intake manifold,but also will offer valuable experience to design other engine's one, and come out important contribution for exploring an effective route to exploit plastic air intake manifold.
