| Ionic liquid is also known as room temperature molten salt, which is composed of organic positive ions and inorganic negative ions. Because it has the unique properties including low melting point, lack of measurable vapor pressure, wide electrochemical window, adjustable acidity, amenable to diverse solutes, proper viscosity and density, ionic liquid has been widely used in many fields such as electrochemistry, organic synthesis, catalyst and separation. And it arouses great interest in industry for it does not pollute the environment.First, six mediates of ionic liquid were synthesized through one step using quaternization reactions. They are imidazolium salts including N-ethyl-N'-methylimidazolium bromide([emim]Br),N-methyl-N'-propylimidazolium bromide ([pmim]Br),N-butyl-N'-methylimidazolium bromide ([bmim]Br),N-ethlyl-(2-hydroxy)-N'-methylimidazolium chloride ([C2OHmim]Cl) and pyridinium salts including N-butylpyridinium bromide ([bpy]Br),N-pentylpyridinium bromide ([C5py]Br). The products were characterized by 1HNMR and 13CNMR.Then, five hydrophilic tetrafluoroborate salts were perared by metathesis reactions from the corresponding chloride or bromides using sodium tetrafluoroborate, they were N-ethyl-N'-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([emim]BF4),N-methyl-N'-propylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([pmim]BF4),N-butyl-N'-methy-limidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([bmim]BF4),N-ethlyl-(2-hydroxy)-N'-methyl-imidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([C2OHmim]BF4),N-butylpyridinium tetrafluoro-borate ([bpy]BF4); And five hydrophobic hexafluorophosphate salts were were perared by metathesis reactions from the corresponding chloride or bromides using potassium hexafluorophosphate, they were N-ethyl-N'-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([emim]PF6),N-methyl-N'-propylimidazolium hexafluoro- phosphate ([pmim]PF6),N-butyl-N'-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim]PF6),N-ethlyl-(2-hydroxy)-N'-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([C2OHmim]PF6),N-butylpyridinium hexafluorophosphate ([bpy]PF6).
