The preparation technology of sludge adsorbent using sludge from sewage treatment plant by microwave-induced pyrolysis was investigated. Sludge was treated innocuously and beneficially through microwave chemistry technology. Study on preparation of sludge adsorbent by microwave-induced pyrolysis showed that microwave power, irradiation time and dosage of activated carbon have influence on the Iodine adsorption value of the sludge adsorbent. The best condition of preparation adsorbent through experiment: microwave power was 400W, irradiation time was 8min, the dosage of activated carbon was 0.25wt%. Iodine adsorption value of the sludge adsorbent under the above condition is 303.73mg/L and the BET surface area is 308.1m2/g. The total pore, micropore and mesopore volume is 0.422mL/g, 0.150mL/g, and 0.203mL/g respectively. Mesopore is the main pore structure of adsorbent. And the heavy metal content is very low in the leachate of adsorbent. This sludge adsorbent was used to treat dye wastewater. The influence of adsorbent dosage, adsorption time, solution concentration and pH on the color removal efficiency of dye wastewater were investigated. The results show that at the time of 300min, 60min and 40min, Argazol Blue (BF-BR), Fuchsin Basic and Fuchsin Acid achieved their adsorption equilibrium respectively. And the corresponding color removal efficiency was 0.422mL/g , 0.150mL/g, and 0.203mL/g.Adsorption mechanism of BF-BR, Fuchsin Basic and Fuchsin Acid adsorbed on the sludge adsorbent was studied. Study results show that adsorbing rate of sludge adsorbent to adsorb all the above dye followed secondary level adsorption dynamic model. Basing on the study of adsorption isothermal, we discovered that BF-BR and Fuchsin Basic fit well to the Langmuir Equation; Fuchsin Acid fits well to the Freundlich Equation. Adsorption capacity from Langmuir isotherm was 46mg/g, 60mg/g and 192mg/g respectively. The technology of preparing sludge adsorbent by microwave-induced pyrolysis has the advantage of high effective, high-speed. Contrasting with conditional method of conventional chemical activation, this technology avoids...
