The increase in atmospheric concentration of CO2 by 31% since 1750 from fossil fuel combustion and land use change global climate and threat mankind living environment. In order to effectively utilize nature gas(methane), cut CO2 discharge, the conversion of CH4+CO2 mixture conversion to synthetic gas was investigated. But CH4 and CO2 are stable molecular in chemical reaction, it very difficult to convert them. Plasma with electron density and electron temperature significantly differed from their chemical equilibrium values are of use in a wide range of applications. So CH4+CO2 conversion to synthetic gas by plasma is considered.Abnormal glow discharge is a little attention-getting discharge between glow discharge and arc discharge, distinguished by its discharging characteristic. Owing to high efficiency and low cost, the conversion of CH4+CO2 conversion to synthetic gas by abnormal glow discharge is possible application to industry. Abnormal glow discharge is provided with good stability during plasma discharge reaction, higher input power than cold plasma, satisfactory CH4+CO2 disposition, preferable conversion and selectivity. In this work, we computationally investigate the thermodynamics of CH4+CO2 conversion to synthetic gas. Compared with the experimental results, Thermodynamics analysis shows that CH4+CO2 reaction in abnormal glow discharge is a nonequilibrium reaction. When reaction temperature reaches 600℃,...
