In recent years, nanotechnology has become the research focus in materials science. Due to their unique properties, such as optical, electronic, magnetic properties, nanomaterial is an energetic research subject, which has the most important influence on the development of future economy and society. The thesis is to synthesize a series of nickel-base materials by using ethylene glycol (EG) process. And various analysis and characterization were carried out. Now the main work is summed up as follows:1. By studying and developing transitional polyol process, ternary Ni3Bi2S2 nanoribbons were synthesized by using NiCl2·6H2O as source materials, ethylenediamine (en) as chelating agent and reactant, pre-prepared Bi2S3 nanoribbons as templates in EG for only 1h. The products were characterized with X-ray diffractometor (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). A number of comparative experiments were performed to explore possible reaction mechanism. Due to their special morphology, it may have potential applications in many fields, such as catalyst and magnetic materials. This synthesis method is mild, simple, convenient and easy to be operated and controlled, which may be used for the preparation of other ternary compounds with special morphology.2. In the above reflux system, NiCl2 was reduced to form metallic nickel. By using Si nanowires as templates, Ni-Si nanocomposite was synthesized. And the magnetic measurement of the sample was carried out in a vibrating...
