As polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons possess excellent optical characteristics, several functional organic fluorescent nanoparticles have been successfully prepared under ultrasonic irradiation in water solution and applied in analytical determination. The content consists of following three parts: In part one, we have studied reaction between the 1-pyrenemethylamine nanoparticles and reduced glutathione(GSH) in the presence of o-phthalaldehyde. With the addition of reduced glutathione, the fluorescence peak changed and the relative fluorescence intensity (RF) was linear in the range of the GSH concentration from 8.0×10-7 to 1.1×10-4 mol L-1. Limit of detection of 7.1×10-8 mol L-1 was achieved for the reduced glutathione. Hereby, a new direct quantitative determination method for reduced glutathione is established. In part two, a new kind of core/shell organic nanoparticles have been successfully prepared: pyrene / poly-acrylic acid and anthracene / poly-acrylamide. In the work, these organic nanoparticles have been characterized with TEM,fluorescence spectra, fluorescent lifetime. The pyrene/ poly-acrylic acid nanoparticles can react with DNA, and anthracene / poly-acrylamide nanoparticles can react with Cr (VI), respectively. Further more, the possible mechanism has been studied. In part three, the preparation is different from the former. In this work, we don't adopt polymerization to wrap the nano– core, but recur to the surface adsorption to cover with abundant dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid sodium salt on the surface of the nanoparticles. The sulfonic acid group not only make the nanaoparticles stable in the water, but also can react with biomolecules. We have studied reaction between the functionalized organic nanoparticles and proteins by fluorescence spectra and synchronous fluorescence scan analysis. So, a novel synchronous fluorescence method has been developed for the...
