| The cylinder liner is one of the gas engine accessories which works in abominable environment. It is subjected to extreme conditions(elevated temperature, high pressure and abrasion of to-and-fro piston, etc). Thus, the abrasion velocity is very rapid and draught cylinder often occure . In order to overcome the problems as mentioned above and to prolong service life of gas engine, our research team analysed status in quo of surface technology applied to the cylinder liner currently。 It is adopted to spray a kind of ceramic coating with resistance to elevated temperation and wear in cylinder liner with plasma spary. In order to improve bond strength and density, the team of experiment designed materials as follows: Al2O3 +13%TiO2, Ni60/30%Mo, Cr3C2-25%NiCr. Various analysis and testing technologies are adopted to detect the changes of samples after being corroded, including X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Electron Probe Microscopy Analysis (EPMA), Transition Electron Microscopy (TEM). Through the test and measurement, the team analysed the microstructure, configuration and weight loss between as sprayed and after-abrasion samples. Results show that: the technology is feasible to spray ceramic coatings to the wall of the cylinder lmder by plasma spray. The property of wear resistance of the sprayed cylinder liner are all improved. Compared with the three coatings, from the point of wear resistance, Al2O3/TiO2 is best; From the point of bond strength and thermal shock test, three coatings are suitable to the cylinder liner. Therefore, viewed from the combination property, Al2O3/TiO2 is superior than others. From the point of property , price and processing, ceramic cylinder liner sprayed Al2O3/TiO2 by plasma spray have good abradability and hardness, cost performance. Therefore, this technology is well worth popularizing. |
