| Basic on the interaction mechanism of the solid phase combustion of the pyrotechnic composition, the paper studies the pyrotechnic characteristics and combustion mechanism of the classical electric igniter, and it finds out the factor that influences the combustion velocity of the pyrotechnic composition, through a series of the tests to the ignition delay time and flame vigorous combustion, then the test result shows as follow:(1) Because the quantity of the ignition composition will influence on the ignition delay time, so it either controls the stability of the combustion or reliably initiating ignition composition, and the ignition delay time must be conformability and technique feasibility, the quantity of the ignition composition will be controlled at 25~30mg;(2) If the ignition composition is the initiated composition, its performance will influence on the ignition delay time, so the surface of the ignition composition can not be too finish, it will be a coarse, and slightly see tool marks;(3) At the same time it ensures the inverse pressure of the diaphragm, it will possibly reduces the rupture pressure of the diaphragm, and the pressure will be 9.2±1MPa ,the notching depth is 0.18mm~0.19mm;(4) As the moisture content of the pyrotechnic composition will influence on burning speed, the moisture content will be 0.3~0.8%;(5) The uniformity and performance of the pyrotechnic composition shall be improved as the particle diameter of various components decrease. The grain size of the magnesium powder is controlled at 110~180μm, the burning speed is in the range of 3.6~6.7mm/s;(6) In order to guarantee the uniformity of the product burning speed, as same time it must be the definite strength, the density is selected at 1.70~1.75g/c m~2,that is said the pressure coefficient is 0.93~0.96;(7) The grain length diameter ration and the composition interface shall directly influence the burning stability, so it makes charging at two times, the more reasonable the grain length diameter ration is, the more stabile the burning speed is;(8) When the cracks in the column and the charge glass cloth tube appear, it will appear "blow-by" while the burning wave is propagated.
