Domestic erythromycin fermentation control level still is at the stage of primary automatic control and manually controlled unified. The general measurement parameter, for instance pH, temperature etc., is measured using some conventional measuring appliance. The control way to made up the material still is in the manual control way; Domestic and foreign on-line real-time monitoring technology to temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen etc. have been already gradually matured. But the important parameters, such as hypha density, total sugar density, product density, are difficult to be on-line real-time measured. Therefore, In order to raise automation level, and to improve the fermentation coefficient, this paper designs an erythromycin fermentation control system based on Neural Network.It is using Neural Network that the hypha density, total sugar density and product density, is estimated by pH and dissolved oxygen. After the network being trained and tested, it makes a comparison to the sample exportation and the network exportation. The result shows that the Neural Network can solve the on-line real-time measure of hypha density, total sugar density and product density preferably. It also shows that it could realize to optimize material-making up and improve the output.The paper designs the monitoring and control system using VB, MATLAB and SQL2000. In which the data of temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, rotate speed n, making-up material etc. in erythromycin fermentation process is collected and dealt with. The hypha density, total sugar density and product density are estimated by calling a NN algorithmic program. The monitoring and control system can control lower computer by transmitting data. It has optimized the production craft, enhanced the equipment usability, and realized the real-time monitoring and automatic control of erythromycin fermentation process.In addition, to realize the better control of illumination process of biology ferment, it mends the fermentation pot and adds the equipment of illumination control.The fermentation control system can on-line real-time monitor and optimize the fermentation process.
