In 1993, Pasternack et al. firstly reported that resonance light scattering (RLS) technique can be used to study the aggregations of porphyrins by using a conventional spectrofluorometer. RLS technique has attracted considerable interest due to its high sensitivity, convenience in performance, simplicity and rapidity. Nowadays, RLS technique has become a powerful and routine assay in various fields, such as supramolecular, physicochemical and analytical chemistry. In this contribution, two parts are included. The first part deals with the assay of proteins and nucleic acids, which were proposed with good selectivity and sensitivity by RLS technique. The second part deals with the assay of the assay of drugs and metal ion in drugs.Part one The application of RLS technique in biochemical analysisChapter 1 Determination of Proteins at Nanogram Levels Based on Their Resonance Light Scattering Decrease Effect on Dibromo-o-Nitrophenylfluorone-Sodium Lauroyl GlutamateA novel method for the determination of proteins at nanogram levels was proposed based on the decrease of resonance light scattering (RLS) signal resulting from the interaction of...
