Friction Stir welding is a new solid-state connection technology, which can effectively avoid drawbacks, appeared during fusion such as crack and blowhole. It has the strong superiority on the similar metal and dissimilar metal with worse weldability. In present paper, copper, brass, copper and brass, copper and LY12 were friction stir welded as well as FSW plastic metal fluidity experiment under the different technological parameter (rotary speed, welding speed, welding pressure).the different technological parameter (rotary speed, welding speed, welding pressure). The test result indicated that, the homogeneous 3mm thick copper and brass plate, the sound joints with aesthetic surface of weld had been obtained under appropriate technological parameter, and the grain of FSW weld was tinier than that of parent metal because of dynamic recrystallization. The tensile strength of FSW copper joint achieved about 80% of that of parent metal, and the curving performance of that was perfect. Because of its worse plasticity, the FSW technological parameter of brass was smaller than that of copper. The dissimilar material FSW welding test result indicated, the better plastic metal should be put in the advanced side of weld, and the worse plastic metal be put in the retreating side. Simultaneously, the pin tool should be slightly partial to better plastic metal. Within the proper technological parameter, the defect-free FSW joints were obtained. However, the fluctuation of hardness in FSW weld of dissimilar metal was large due to intermetallics. During FSW processing, the fluidity of the plastic metal in nugget zone was not same because of its different location. Usually metal located in advanced side flowed strangler. At the same time, under the influence of tool shoulder, the transferred range of upper plastic metal was wider than that of the bottom plastic metal.
