In this paper, SF(silk fibroin)/PVA(polyvinyl alcohol) blending nanofibers were prepared via electrospinning in order to improve RSF material's physical properties and broaden its potential applications. The rigidity of RSF materials could be improved by adding PVA which has flexible chains. And the porous structure of SF/PVA non-woven nanofibers via electronspinning as well as their properties of biocompatibility and biodegradation possibly be suitable for biomaterials. The compatibility, spinnability and fiber formation of blending solution were studied, and the fiber structure and properties were also primarily discussed in the paper.The paper was divided into three parts:1.The spinning solution of SF/PVA was discussed. The results showed that the uniformity and stability of SF/PVA solution could be improved by formic acid solvent. And the suitable blending time would be 20~30 minutes. And the blending ratio 80/20 resulted in improved miscibility of spinning solution. In addition, the compatibility of blending solution could also be improved by adding glycerine. Meanwhile, the status of spinning jet would be affected mainly by viscosity and conductance of the spinning solution while the formation of nanofibers would be decided largely by the blending ratio and volatility of spinning solvent.2. The influence factors of SF/PVA nanofibers'fomation by electronspinning were studied. The results showed that the flexibility of SF could be improved by adding PVA and the blending ratio of 80/20 would result in better spinnability. However, glycerine is not so good to use much in electronspinning for its difficulties in volatility. And a relatively low voltage of 10KV supplied enough power and time for fiber drawing and formation. The fiber collecting distance should also be kept suitable.3.
