The master alloys were prepared with a chemical composition A1-3%P and Al66Cu20Mn14 and Al65Cu20Fe15, and was melted in a crucible electrical resistance furnace. The phosphorus was added into the Al66Cu20Mn14 master alloy by the Cu-P master alloy and the silicon was added into the Al65Cu20Fe15 master alloy by the crystal silicon. The Al-P master alloy was cast into the cavity of a iron mould which was 200°C, but the AlCuMnP quisicrystal master alloy and AlCuFe quisicrystal master alloy were poured into a copper mould which was room temperature.
