| In the metal cutting machining industry, because of its pollution to environment and harmful threaten to human beings; the usages of oil-type cutting fluid have getting more and more limitation. Green cutting is becoming an encouraged developing technology that is in the ascendant. In this dissertation, on the current status and characteristics analyzing of such green cutting technology at home and abroad, a systematic research has been carried out on the effect that the cryogenic cold air cutting technology act on the state of wear of high speed steel cutting tool so that can find a way to substitute dry cryogenic cold air cutting for the cutting method of pour cutting liquid on the working piece and cutting tool wholly or partly. The replacement of traditional cutting solution with cryogenic cold air jet not only possesses a good cooling and lubricating efficiency, but also can avoid the occurrence of environmental pollution.Combining the refrigeration and machining technology, the dry cold air at —40 ℃ was gained. With the injecting feeding manner of the cold air for cutting, an application of the green technology is realized in turning manufacturing trials. In order to clarify the cooling and lubrication mechanism of cryogenic cold air, the cutting temperature, cutting forces and wear of cutting tool have been systematically researched with the help of these experiments and theory analysis. We focus the study on the wear of high-speed steel cutting tool experiment. The cooling and Lubrication effects, as well as the performance of machining quality Improvement, enhanced by the cryogenic cold air injecting have also been analyzed in details as follows: It is first time to study the state of wear of cutting tool when process 45# steel work piece, lCrl8Ni9Ti austenitic stainless steel and 2A12M Aluminum alloy by using the high-speed steel cutting tool under the cryogenic cold air injecting circumstance. By comparing experiments on the dry and cryogenic cold air cutting, it is verified that the cold air decreases the surface plastic property of tool and cutting temperature, so that the front and back face wear of tool are reduced, and the tool life has been prolonged. The lubrication properties of cold air injection decrease the wear of cutting tool by reducing the... |
