As important parts of Blast Furnace, the cooling staves play a significant role on the Blast Furnace's service life. Cast steel cooling stave has favorable impact toughness and cyclic-temperature loading fatigue, and it has no thermal resistance of coat and gas gap witch exist in ductile iron cooling stave. The cast steel cooling stave becomes an developing and research emphases of cooling stave manufacturer and iron-making enterprise in these years. Anyang Iron and Steel Group Machinery Equipment Manufacture has developed cast steel cooling stave cooperated with Zhengzhou University at 2002, and successfully solved the cooling water pipe's melting down, deforming and the other casting defect. Cast steel cooling stave's development is at the initial period, and no supporting data used it at Blast furnace.In order to compare the heat transferring of cast steel cooling stave and ductile iron cooling stave and validate the usage effect of cast steel cooling stave and offer use reference parameters, the cooling stave thermal test system was designed and established in this thesis. The ductile iron cooling stave and cast steel cooling stave were placed in one stove. The temperature in stove, the velocity and the temperature of cooling water were changed during the experiment, at the same time the temperature of given points in cooling staves were measured by thermocouples. The important factors of cooling stave service life were measured, such as temperature of the hot side and cold side, the temperature difference of hot side and cold side and the temperature difference of cooling water changes were compared.The thermal conductivity of cast steel and ductile iron is almost the same, but thermal resistance of coating and gas gap exists between the water pipe and the noumenon, the heat transfer property of ductile iron cooling stave is affected. In the identical condition, the hot side temperature of ductile iron cooling stave was higher than the cast steel cooling stave's. When the water temperature was 40℃, the water velocity was 2.92m/s and the furnace temperature was 1200℃, the hot side...
