| In recent years, with the rapid development of remote sensing (RS), geographic information system(GIS), globe positioning system(GPS) and other correlative computer technologies, the dynamic change information of Earth surface can be extracted quickly, really and high precisely, and some spatial analysis can be done efficiently in a large scale of a province, attaining the precise environmental dynamic information and providing scientific data for government and relative departments to monitor and protect the ecologic environment.The dissertation is based on the project of the ecologic environmental dynamic monitoring of Sichuan Province by remote sensing technique which was finished by Institute of Remote Sensing & GIS, Chengdu University of Technology. In this paper, a method to obtain land use and cover change (LUCC) databases using the CBERS-02 images was suggested. By modifying the databases from Landsat Thematic Mapper(TM) in 2000 to update the databases, verifying and correcting the interpretation databases in the field through GPS receiver. Finally, the dynamic information from 2000 to 2004 was extracted and some analysis was done through the strong spatial analysis ability of ArcGis software.The main research productions are listed below.-(1) The dynamic combinating current databases from 2000 to 2004, the databases of 2004, the dynamic databases from 2000 to 2004, and the corrected databases of 2000 of all counties, the areas and the whole province was established;(2) The interpretation databases were verified, and a few databases having some errors were corrected and updated;(3) The environmental dynamic information was analyzed and that is though some great achievements had been made in the project for recovering the forests and grasslands, at the same time, our land is decreasing dramatically with the economic rapid development. Therefore, we should pay attention to protecting our land resource and the harmony between the economy and environment.
