The cityscape water body, regarded as the important component and elementary producers of the urban ecosystem and as the regulation and control of ecological balance, demonstrated its irreplaceable function and meaning day by day in urban ecology construction. Meanwhile, its water quality was polluted seriously day by day, and it was very essential to control its pollution situation. This subject aimed at developing an easy, effective and combined with city natural ecosystem wastewater treatment technology for cityscape water body.Protecting landscape water body mainly controlled its content of CODCr, TN and TP and the growth of algae. Keep it clean and the whole water quality. This research was about Biological gird system treating Liwa River of East China Normal University of Shanghai. Liwa River is the branch of the Suzhou Creek. It is eutrophication water. Results showed:(1) Biological gird system had better purifying effect to landscape water polluted while testing, could improve its water quality at little. The purification efficiency varied in line with temperature and seasons hydraulic loading values and the growth of plant. The total removal rates of CODCr, NH3-N, TN and TP were 20~40%, 3 0~40% ,30~40%and 30-40% separately. The combination filling is the best, the suspending filling is the better, and the global filling is the worst during the chosen three kinds filling whether from putting up biological film or from treating efficiency.(2) HRT was an important parameter influencing purifying effect of Biological gird system. The removing of CODCr and NH3-N accord the stair kinetic equation in biological gird system when concentration of CODcr and NH3-N is 20~100mg/L and 3~10mg/L .If the removal rates of CODCr is above 70%, the best HRT is 1.3d round about. If the removal rates of NH3-N is above 70%, the best HRT is 1.3d round about. This test had designed several HRT, synthesizing their purification results and considering economic factor in actual project, 30h was rational to this test.
