The efficient solution of the furnace damage is one of the most important problems. The supersonic velocity electric arc spraying technology (HVAS) has gained satisfactory solution. HVAS produces FeCrAl-coating on the structural materials to enhance its high-temperature corrosion resistance and wear-resistant features. The microstructures of the FeCrAl coating, the bondstrength, high-temperature corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance and porosity of coatings produced by HVAS have been studied. The HVAS particle speed decides the impact basal body pressure. The increased particle speed makes the combination of the particle and the basal more concrete. The light microscope is used to analyze the microstructure of the Feral coating produced by HVAS. The microscopic structure of coatings appears typical layered structure characteristics. The coatings have high density and very thin oxide films and a small quantity of gas porosity. The study indicates that corrosion resistance of FeCrAl coating by HVAS is better than that of 45# steel. The loose Fe2O3 formed in low-temperature hot corrosion of FeCrAl coating is the main reason of the corrosion.
