This thesis has three chapters:Chapter 1: Research progress of photochromic spirooxazine compounds.Spirooxazines exhibit better photostability and fatigue resistance, in the beginning of this chapter, the synthesis and application of spirooxazine was described. The thermal stability of the open form of spirooxazine and the fatigue resistance of spirooxazine had limited their industrial applications now because they don't well enough. In this chapter, the recent progress of these fields of the thermal stability of the open form of spirooxazine and the fatigue resistance of spirooxazine was reviewed.Chapter 2: Syntheses and photochromism of 9'-acryloxyindolinospiro-naphthoxazine derivatives.Several 9'-hydroxyindolinospironaphthoxazine derivatives and several 9'-acryloxyindolinospironaphthoxazine derivatives were synthesized and their structures were identified by ~1HNMR and IR et al. The UV-Vis spectroscopy of the open form was studied with the formation of complex of Zn (II). Metal complexation leads to a significant stabilization of the photomerocyanine form, a decrease in thermal fading.Chapter 3: Preparation and photochromism of carboxymethyl chitin derivatives with spirooxazine side groupsThe carboxymethyl chitin derivatives with photochromic spirooxazine side groups were prepared firstly using ammonium persulfate as initiator in the water solution. A representative condition is: 0.4g carboxymethyl chitin, 50.0mL water, 3.0mmol spirooxazine monomer, 0.35mmol ammonium persulfate, the percentage of grafting of resulting product was 65%. The structure of copolymer was characterized by IR, X-ray, thermal analysis and solubility et al. The photochromism has been studied by UV-Vis spectroscopy and it shows that the copolymer has usual photochromic behavior. Compared with the acetone solution of spirooxazine monomer, the thermal stability of open form of copolymer has been improved significantly. In the water solution, the open merocyanine form of graft copolymer has a predominant quinoid character. The good water-solubility and photochromism make it more extensive applications in the practice. The applied value of the products was analysis and the next plan of this research was designed.
