In this thesis, the essential characteristics and developing situation of V-based electrode alloys were summarized. The electrochemical properties of pure vanadium, V20Ti30Cr50, V68Ti20Cr12 and V55Ti22.5Cr16.1Fe6.4 alloy electrodes under 293K-353K were studied. The effects of ball-milling with different catalyzers (Ni, Cu and Pd) on the electrochemical properties of V and V-based alloys were investigated. The main results are presented as follows:1) V-based solid solution-type hydrogen storage alloys with a single bcc phase had the ability of charge and discharge in the electrolyte, but their electrochemical reaction rate at room temperature was slow and their discharge plateau potential was lower than -0.6V vs Hg/HgO reference electrode.2) At the process of practical electrochemical test, V-based solid solution-type hydrogen storage alloy electrodes showed a large discharge capacity, meaning a good potential of practical application.3) The discharge property of V-based solid solution-type hydrogen storage alloy electrodes was largely influenced by the temperature. Whether or not containing a...
