It occupies more and more important status in the development of the present society. In 21th century, the world is pacing a new era when people are willing to know, explore and protect the water environment. With the development of social economy, water environment is polluted by most castoffs discharged into river and ocean directly or indirectly during manufacture and living. Along with our country entering WTO and the continuously speedy growth of the economy, protecting water environment, maintaining its ecosystem in a good condition, supervising and treating polluted it and preventing it from getting further polluted have become the pressing problems that should be tackled urgently.The automatic analytical method of Flow Injection Spectrophotometry (FIS) to determine Zinc and Chemical Oxygen Demand in water body is established and researched through experiments. They preferably overcome the traditional manual analytical method's disadvantages, such as operating complicatedly, easily causing artificial errors, consuming more time and reagents.
