In the process of electromotor rotor manufacturing process, straightening after heat treatment to make it in an allowable extension is a key working procedure. Because of the poor technology in axis straightening industry in China, in this dissertation a straightening machine for the rotor of series motor was developed which was based on the research of the straightening theory and experiments. This project has a very important significance to the development of electromotor industry.In Chapter 1, the significance to study on the project was analyzed by investigating the status quo of the axis straightening industry home & aboard and the background of power tool industry. In this chapter, based on the research of the straightening methods in being, a straighten methods that adapt to the project was proposed. Finally the design objective and chief assignment of the straightening machine is determined by the straightening process and requirements.In Chapter 2, the key technology in anti-bend straightening for axis was analyzed by elastic-plastic mechanics theory, the combination of press point and pivot was discussed, a straighten interval arithmetic based on least squares was brought out. The mechanical structure of the straightening machine was designed, including the detect and locate system, the straighten system, the automatic loading and discharge system and so on.In Chapter 3, based on the mechanical design, the straighten principle and the straightening process, the MCS-51 centered automatic control system was designed, and the principle of the circuit was introduced in great detail. Considering on the effect by the interferential signals, some measures were done to restrain the source of interferential signals, cut off the spreading road and improve the quality of the sensitivity component. Therefore the reliability, the safety, and the stability of the system were improved availably.In Chapter 4, the software of the automatic straightening machine was designed. According to the function of the automatic straightening machine, the software was composed by the main program, the initialization program, self-study program and automatic straighten program and so on.In Chapter 5, experiments validated correctness and feasibility of the theory analysis and the straighten interval arithmetic. The combination of press point and pivot experiment showed the effect on the location choice of the press point and pivot; the straightening load and strain experiment analyzed the relationship between the load, straighten interval and strain; the straighten interval arithmetic based on least squares to get the parameters was applied, and an expectant effect was obtained.In Chapter 6, the work of this dissertation was summarized and future research work was put forward.
