Natural benzaldehyde is a kind of expensive fragrance that is widely used in food, medicine and cosmetics industry. Screening the microorganism that can convert cinnamon oil to benzaldehyde by enzyme was the prerequisite of enzymatic synthesis. This paper was aimed to synthes i ze natural benzaldehyde w ith enzyme obtained by microorganism. Cinnamaldehyde is an essential component of cinnamon oil, in this research it worked as a substrate. And all the soil samples were collected from the surroundings of cinnamon oil factory, flower fertilizer and so on. On the whole, this research mainly included two aspects:(1) To screen and ferment the strains producing the aimed enzyme and study on the enzymatic synthesis reaction of natural benzaldehyde.181 cinnamaldehyde-toleranted single strains were obtained when cultured in normal way, and 36 strains were obtained when the normal culture medium was changed to fit for bacteria better. In order to check their biocatalytic capability, each of the strains was put to shake flask test. The result showed that when cultured in normal way, the weight percent of benzaldehyde in most products that were converted by the 181 strains respectively was less than 1%, only 8 products exceeded 3%. Calculating their corresponding yield for the 8 products that were converted by the 8 strains, the highest one's yield was up to 13.02%. But when the normal culture medium was changed to fit for bacteria better, the most average weight percent of benzaldehyde exceeded 2%, and the...
