This paper mainly uses Fast, YG541A, YG811, YG(B)461D to test on mechanical properties of medium-weight and thin-weight representative worsted fabric in the market both at home and abroad, and consequently establishes the objective evaluation system on worsted fabric's characters.Make use of principal factor analysis to obtain 7 factors that compose the basic characters of worsted fabric and express this kind of fabric's characters totally and objectively. Calculate and rank the scores of each factor and synthesis ones, draw the numerical range of worsted fabric about FAST testing index, and set the average position and standard deviation, by all of which characters and performances of worsted fabric can be judged. Research on the linearity correlativity between shrinkage and the other 29 kinds of testing index theoretically and practically to expose the influence shrinkage exerts pressure on worsted fabric's characters. Taking advantage of the established fabric evaluation system has greatly practical significance that can best control manufacturing products and fabric characters, optimize product design.
