With the development of computer technology, it is possible that virtual prototyping technology is applied in manufacturing technology. In this thesis, the structure of a mining-drilling machine is analyzed in terms of the virtual prototyping technology to improve the utilization qualities of it。UG,the 3D modeling software technology is used to establish the solid models of the machine,CAXA, another 3D modeling software,is used to is applied to the simulation analysis of the machine .The models're exported to CAXA through the interface between UG and CAXA. By CAXA, dynamics simulation of the machine is carried out.Cosmos/works, the finite element analysis software, is applied to the static analysis of the machine-cutting head. When the machine-cutting head is under static load, the cloud figures of the stress and deformation of the nodes, and deformation curves of the machine-body are obtained, the maximal deformation zone of machine-cutting head is found.
