MCM-22 zeolite, self-support monolithic MCM-22 zeolite have been synthesized by vapor-phase transport method(VPT) and MCM-22/metal support monolithic zeolite has been synthesized by hydrothermal method(HTS) in this study.Sodium silicate was selected as silicon source and aluminium sulfate as aluminum source to synthesis MCM-22 by VPT method. The characterization of xerogels and MCM-22 was carried out by using XRD, MAS NMR, FTIR and TEM. The effect of pH on the structure of xerogels and synthesis of MCM-22 was investigated. It indicated that the structure and particle size of xerogels changed with the change of the pH value. This change has very important impact on the crystallization of MCM-22. The optimal pH for preparation of hydrogel to obtain pure and good crystallization of MCM-22 was between 10.2 and 10.7. MOR appears partially with a pH value of 11.1 and pure MOR is obtained when the pH reached 11.6.Self-support monolithic MCM-22 zeolite, that is molding the xerogels with which additive blended first and then synthesizing to MCM-22 was prepared.
