Localization is closely related with the accuracy and quality, which means the consistency of the shape, size between the metal parts with the tool electrode. The accuracy and quality will be improved when the localization is enhanced in electrochemical machining and electroforming. To study the effect of the localization, the following work has been done in this paper:1. Micro holes are electrochemical drilled in nickel using nanosecond pulse power,millisecond pulse power and direct current power. The results show that the localization could be significantly enhanced using nanosecond pulse power. The maximum localization is got at the pulse duration of 50ns and 4V voltage.2. Cu dots are electrodeposited using nanosecond pulse power,millisecond pulse power and direct current power. The results indicate that the localization could be significantly enhanced using nanosecond pulse power. The maximum localization is got at the pulse duration of 150ns and the current is 100mA .
