Objectives: Dragon's blood, named Daemonorops Draco, which was used to dissipate blood stasis, stop bleeding and promote blood flow in traditional Chinese medicine. It possesses the character of neutrality in nature, sweet and salty flavor. However, Dragon's blood was fried with other Chinese crude drugs in compound recipe. Dragon's blood doesn't solve in the water, moreover it becomes gelatinform and mixes with gruff when it is heated, so Dragon's blood will be filtered and lose its pharmacologic action. Then the resource of dragon's blood is inadequate in our country and the preparation of dragon's blood is single, so the experiment prepared delayed release microsphere of dragon's blood with Polylactic Acid (PLA) as carriers using the oil-in-water (o/w) emulsion solvent evaporation, aiming to delay release, diminish the frequency of overdose and provide the reference for the study of new dosage form and a reasonable utilization of the resource.Method: According to pharmacopoeia, we identified the dragon's blood and checked the abjectly and alcohol insoluble substances using thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and ultraviolet spectrophotometry (UV). Then we determined the content of dracorhodin using a reversed-phase HPLC. |
