Water resources is precious to human living. According to the WorldBank's statistics, the gross water resources in our country is at the forth placein the world at present. But the average water resources owned by per personis just a quarter of the world level. Our country is one of the 13 water –poorcountries. There are more than 400 cities which have the water shortageproblem in the more than 600 cities,of which more than 110 cities aresuffering from the terrible water resources shortage.Eutrophication of water bodies has become a global and difficult problemin controlling water pollution and is one of the most importantenvironmental problems. The majority of fresh water inland lakes has beenor would be eutrophic in Europe and North America. At presenteutrophication of inland water bodies is very serious in China. It is a mainenvironmental problem to limit economic development.For many years scientists in different countries have been studyinglimiting factors and effecting factors that result in eutrophication, and theyput forward different evaluating methods, for instance character method,parameter method, trophic status index method, graphics method andbiology index method, and so on. With the rapid development of computertechnology, modern mathematics theory has been applied to evaluate waterbody environment . Theory methods of fuzzy math, stochastic model, graysystem and artificial neural network have been applied to study on waterbody eutrophication evaluation, combining computer technology. At presentthere are many method that have been widely used in our country, forexample grading method, trophic status index method, fuzzy comprehensiveevaluation, grey incidence analysis evaluation method and biodiversityevaluation.The Taoshan Reservoir is a large comprehensive hydraulic complex and mainwater source for people at Qitaihe Municipality in produce,life andagriculture. Along with the economic development in the city, water qualityin many upstream tributories is degrading and especially water bodyeutrophication in the Taoshan Reservoir turns an urgent problem. Therefore,itis necessary to appraise water trophic status about the Taoshan Reservoir.In the light of water quality status and water body eutrophication analysis inTaoshan Reservoir, attribute recognition model is set up in this paper. Usinganalysis data and evaluation standard, sample space matrix and attributeclassify matrix are determined respectively, and the parameter weight of eachevaluation index is decided. The model is applied to calculate the samplemeasure and recognize attribute, obtaining the results of eutrophicationevaluation in Taoshan Reservoir. The results show that the eutrophicationdegree in Taoshan Reservoir is at rich trophic level .The results is consistentwith results of the graded evaluation method. Meanwhile,this method iseasy and more suitable for system quality evaluation which has standard.The study on eutrophication in Taoshan Reservoir water body can provide afoundation for the drainage basin and reservoir management department in rationallyinstituting exploitation and utilization plan, and puts forward feasible advice forenvironment protection department for preventing and controlling water bodyeutrophication.
