In recent years, virtual instrument (VI) and virtual laboratory (VL) have been widely used in each domain of technology. Thereinto, software form virtual instrument (S-VI) and emulating virtual laboratory (E-VL) walk in the spotlight because of their extraordinary cost performance. Moreover, the real-time highly interactive Web-3D S-VI and E-VL with three-dimensional scene have shown a strong development tendency. As the extension of real laboratory (RL), the S-VI and E-VL are playing more and more important roles in training and education, and they have become the powerful supplement for the existing experimental teaching resources. So the actual need for the S-VI and E-VL and the design and realization method are the research background in this paper.The building of Web-3D E-VL is a complicated process, which needs to solve some crucial problems in three-dimensional scene such as real-time and high interaction, data transmission and storage, chemistry workstation, information feedback, appraisal system and so on. In this paper a new fusion technique (3dsmax+Cult3D+Java+Flash+PHP+MySQL) whose core is Cult3D technique, is selected after analyzing and comparing the diversified development platform of the mainstream Web-3D. Furthermore, the problems are solved through analyzing the essence of the experiment process and the system simulation in detail.Based on the theory and the real experiment process of the electrochemistry analysis, the interactive Web-3D electrochemistry analysis E-VL (including 3 experiments) is built by using Cult3D technique. In view of the limitation and the unrealized functions of Cult3D technique, the real-time and highly interactive Web-3D electrochemistry analysis E-VL with three-dimensional scene (including 5 experiments) is built firstly by using the fusion technique. According to the questions and the corresponding countermeasure processing in the developing process, a feasible way has been set up for building this kind of E-VL.At the same time, in order to apply the superiority of Flash technique to the fusion technique, and compare it with Cult3D technique and the fusion technique, another kind of electrochemistry analysis E-VL with planar multi-scene (including 8 experiments) is also built firstly and completely. Through comparing with the advantages and disadvantages of the E-VLs, the design and realization method of electrochemistry analysis S-VI and E-VL is generalized.In the E-VLs, the whole experiment processes were simulated according to the real instruments operating process. In addition, the E-VLs have real scene, simple and convenient operation and can be promulgated on network. So the E-VLs have widely practical prospect in web-based operation training and experiment education.The E-VLs have been used in several native universities, and obtained high praise at the 40th IUPAC academic congress and the modern teaching seminar of chemistry in native universities, which indicate they have been affirmed by experts. Moreover, they show a bright future in application. At the same time, helpful experience is got for future E-VL development.
