It is urgent require to study friction welding of high temperature alloy and heat-resisting steel, which used in hot dynamical parts of tank, vessel engine, etc. Combing the friction weldability of diesel fuel engine vent valve, this paper researched K418/4Cr10Si2Mo friction welding joints on physics contact behavior during heading upsetting.Using thermodynamic coupling finite element method, the paper built up three dimension viscoplasticity large deformation model, which used in condition of upsetting before stopping, considering geometric non-linear and material non-linear. And it found parameter variation range theoretically ANSYS8.0/Multiphysical software, got the result of finite element unit and forecast the amount of deformation accordingly, analyzed the rate of interface node. With the frame attained from numerical simulation, the paper studied constitutive relation of K418/4Cr10Si2Mo joints property to parameters, got the best parameter arrangement, analyzed the physical appearance and metal streamline of joints interface, revealed physic contact behavior, and verified the feasibility and correctness of numerical simulation. The results show that finite element numerical simulation can indicate the rule of dissimilar metal friction welding, resulting that friction welding molding and control made tracks from experience for science. It also show that heading upsetting before stopping can reduce the value of parameters appropriate. The periodic results established the theory and practice for high temperature alloy and heat-resisting steel.
