With the speedy development of computer and image processing techniques , PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) have developed correspondingly. As a tool of whole field , unintrusive and instantaneous measurement, PIV has been used widely in parameter measurement of liquid and multiphase and has good measurement precision. Some project applications and advantages of measurement technique of PIV are reviewed briefly, development tendency of PIV are summarized in this paper.Based on vast literatures related to gas-liquid two phase flow , flow visualization techniques, digital image processing techniques, author designed a set of aeration tank experimental equipment. Based on the existing research achievements, this paper is aimed at establishing the movement law for bubble liquid to explore the law of bubble and liquid in aeration bank by means of the combination of experimental research and numerical simulation on the gas-liquid two-phase flow. The main research methods and results in this paper are listed as follow: 1.Aeration tank device that simulates the single bubble and bubble group is developed, which can be utilized to observe the movement behaviors of the single bubble and bubble group not only when is aperture changed, but also when air pressure and ratio of water depth are changed.2.The PIV experimental research on the gas-liquid two-phase flow is completed. And at the same time the bubble flow movement behavious in the different ratio of aeration bank can be gained. Meanwhile, the bubble velocity can be got through the FFT algorithm.3.Bubble flux is the important factor of affecting the bubble size and velocity when water height and aperture are homology. When bubble flux or velocity...
