Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is a high-performance structure and refractory polymer material. There are many merits, such as dimensional stabilization at the high temperature and high humidity, good wear-resisting property and melts fluidity, better adhesives to the glass, ceramics, steel or other metal materials, good self-lubricating property and thermal conductivity, noncorrosive wear to metal several years, etc At the present, PPS has been obtained wildly using in the fields of the high and new technology, for instance, aviation, astronavigation, nucleus industry, electron electric, etc. It is profoundly received. This study was extracted at the work condition of unusing grease lubrication or special sliding friction with bad lubrication in the high temperature, heavy-load, high speed, vacuum, severe dust pollution or erosion in corrosion medium. We developed an antifriction compound on PPS with filling silicon carbide and graphite. And also done the experiment, detection and analysis to the material component recipe, molding process, sintering process, friction coefficient and wear-resistant, tensile strength and stiffness, sample wear surface and fracture pattern etc. As following are chief conclusions gained:(1) In the PPS base antifriction compound, silicon carbide increases the stiffness and strength of bulk. Graphite lubricating reduces the friction coefficient. Both of them play a coordination role. They enhance the antifriction and wear-resistant of PPS.(2) At the condition of this experiment, the component recipe of the PPS base antifriction compound with relative optimal antifriction and wear-resistant isobtained Where graphite is about 20Wt%, silicon carbide is about 15Wt%, PPS is about 65Wt%. Their coefficient of sliding friction is 0316, wear extent is 0.09% stiffiiess is 52Hd, and tensile strength is 48MPa(3) The experiment and analysis indicates the relative better preparation process parameters on the PPS base antifriction compound are forming pressure 200MPa, dwell time 3min, sintering temperature 260°C, soaking time 30min, cooling into 150 °C, tapping off and cooling into room temperature.
