The study of hydroboration, hydroalumination, hydrogallation of alkynes including their application in organic synthesis has been explored for decades. â…¢A elements have high reactivity due to their scarcity of electron. Though Indium is in the same group in the period table with Boron and Alumination, hydroindation has only been paid little attention. Now, hydroindation is becoming a new hotspot with the convenient generation of dichloroindium hydride.This dissertation includes two parts:Part 1: We summarized the evolvement of hydroboration, hydroalumination, hydrogallation, hydroindation of alkynes including their application in organic synthesis.Part 2: We studied the cross-coupling of alkenylindium compound with diaryliodonium salts and their application in organic synthesis, vinylindiums generated via hydroindation of terminal alkynes couple with diaryliodoniums salts to synthesize (E)-alkenes. According to all results of the experiments, InCl3-NaBH4-MeCN system showed high regio- and stereoselectivity for the hydroindation of terminal alkynes. Novel methods to prepare (E)-alkenes were described. Possible mechanism was provided.
