Multi-stage deep drawing is an important sheet metal forming process. Multi-stage deep drawing is often used when the deformation of a sheet metal part exceeds allowable deformation of the material. So we study the rules of the metal flowing, forecast the deficiency and consider the influence of the parameters in the deformation. These are very valuable in guiding multi-stage practice and physical simulation, reducing numerical simulation error, reducing the percent of defected parts and forwarding the using of advanced manufacture technology in the sheet metal forming field.Based on the deep analysis of numerical simulation theory and numerical simulation calculation of the sheet metal forming, this article investigated the process of the motor shell hole forming, got the reasonable process program., and did numerical simulation on each step. In the multi-stage deep drawing, we studied the passing of the blank thickness changing and remnant stress. With the numerical simulation , we got the Forming Limited Diagram (FLD) and the thickness diagram of the motor shell in each step when drawing, and compared them with the experiment. The result of numerical simulation was anastomotic with the result of the experiment.At last ,this article did the numerical simulation in different parameters such as material parameters, die radius of corner and friction coefficient in sheet metal forming. The rules which various parameters influence blank thickness and total forming force are obtained, and its provide theoretical evidence for choosing the optimal parameters.
