In polymerization of propylene, catalyst determined the behavior ofpolymerization,structure of polymer,configuration of polymer powder. Goodcatalyst should have high catalyzing activity,be easy to control and regulate. Inprocess of catalyzing, the polymerization reaction carried through at the powder ofcatalyst, polymer was duplicated and enwrapped the powder of catalyst, and thecatalyst was remained in polymer, so the configuration determined the piledensity,diameter size of powder and distribution of diameter size. At the sametime, the normal exertion of roll of catalyst needed the fitting conditions. Polymerwith Fine configuration,high apparent density would benefit the mass-transfer andremove of reaction heat, and augmented the concentration of solid, consequentlyincreased the yield per unit cubage of polymer, meanwhile would convenient forthe transportation,separation,dryness of polymer in production ,and increasedthe capacity of whole set, specially was the key of keeping stable polymerizationreaction. Therefore, to increase the efficiency of catalyst and gain goodconfiguration of powder must research in two aspects. This paper discussed thepreparation of MgCl2 carrier and catalyst, mostly made an all-around research tothe process of catalyzing-polymerization of propylene.Concerning the preparation of catalyst, the configuration and structure ofcatalyst was determined by the configuration and structure of carrier. Theconditions of stir played an important roll on configuration and structure ofcatalyst. The experiments showed that configuration and structure of carrier couldbe protected by method of stir in process of treating the carrier, then catalyst withgood configuration of powder could be achieved. So the stir is the key condition tocontrol diameter size and distribution of it.The performance of the same kind of catalyst would have much difference indifferent conditions of polymerization. How to fully exert the activity of catalystand improve the performance of polymer was the question people generally caredabout. Appropriate conditions of polymerization could increase the performance ofcatalyst and improve the configuration of polymer as well as diameter size anddistribution. This paper researched the factors which affected the configurationand performance of polymer such as the assist-catalyst concentration (mole ratioof Al/Ti),donor concentration(mole ratio of Al/Si),the variety of donor,thetemperature and time of polymerization,the concentration of hydrogen andpre-polymerization.
