This text mainly studied the interactions between nonionic surfactant andhyaluronan(HA) in the complex pharmaceutical of the paclitaxel and HA. Theinteractions between surfactant and HA were studied through flow property, surfacetension, probe spectrums and fluorescence probe in aqueous solution, physiologybrine or 5% glucose aqua. The results showed weak interactions existed betweensurfactant and HA. Three stages model of their weak interaction was put forward: (1)HA molecules and surfactant molecules combined through hydrogen-bonding;(2) thehydrophobic radicel of free surfactant molecules in aqueous solution got into thehydrophobic area of HA molecules;(3) when the concentration of surfactant inaqueous solution was above the critical micellar concentration, the interactionoccurred between surfactant micellar and hydrophobic area with HA hydrophobicarea.Compared with the aqua of HA, the flow property of Nonionic surfactant andHA complex in aqueous solution changed very small. They were all a fluid ofpseudo-plasticity;the plot of viscosity had two max points and two min points. Whenthe concentration of NaCl was 0.9%, the viscosity of complex did not change a lot;but the complex mixed 5% glucose, the viscosity change a little. The hydrophobiceffect was responsible for the change of viscosity. The interactions of complex weremainly hydrophobic effect between surfactant and HA.The plot of surface tension of surfactant versus the logarithm of the surfactantconcentration did not have two obvious curved points. The results showed theinteractions between surfactant and HA complex were weak and demonstrated themodel of three stages was right. The surface tension of complex had some change inthe presence of physiology brine or 5% glucose aqua. The small molecules attributedto the conjunction effects between the surfactant and HA complex. It could cause theabsorption of surfactant molecules, the arrangement of surfactant molecules in thesurface film and the aggregation of surfactant micellar. The probe spectrums also demonstrated the correctness of three stages modelabout the interactions between the surfactant and HA. The interactions between themwere mainly the hydrophobic effects. They also proved that the hydrophobic areaexisted in the complex. The fluorescence probe measurement showed the weak interaction betweensurfactant and HA, the structure and HLB value and molecular weight could changethe solubilization of pyrene.
