Inclusion compound of β-cyclodextrin(host) with benzyl methyl ketone,1,3-propanedianmine, n-hexylamine and azoxybenzene(guest) were synthesized andcharacterized by FT-IR, XRD, TG-DTA, Elemental analysis and 1HNMR spectra.1HNMR results indicate that a 2:1(host: guest) inclusion ratio was formed to BMK orazoxybenzene guest while a 1:1inclusion ratio was formed to 1,3-propanedianmine orn-hexylamine guest. At the same time, elemental analyses validate the results ofinclusion ratio. The possible structures of the inclusion compounds were speculated.Binding constants of 1,3-propanedianmine and n-hexylamine with β-cyclodextrinwere examined by spectrophotometric titration using phenolphthalein as a spectralprobe in aqueous buffer solution (PH=10.5,20℃).Meanwhile, a varied polymorph (CaC2O4) with specific morphology wassynthesized under the control of β-cyclodextrin as the organic matrix, which wascharacterized by XRD, SEM and TG-DTA. According to the results of FT-IR andmeasurement of conductance ratio, the possible mechanism of the interaction betweenβ-cyclodextrin and CaC2O4 during the CaC2O4 formation process was discussed.
