Visual Research Of Cutting Parameters And Cutting Process On Operating Mechanism Of Continuous Miner

Continuous miner is an important equipment which is applied to shortwall coal mining method, leftover coal and driving tunnel and gradually becomes essential measure of improving mine synthetical economic returns. It is developing direction of modern mine equipment .As a device of contacting with coal and accomplishing cutting assignment, the cutting mechanism has an important influence on cutting function, efficiency and reliability of a continuous miner and is crucial to design quality and work function of continuous miner. The relations between factors are studied according to analyzing the principles and shapes of pick arrangement, forming breakout pattern, and analyzing load models of picks and drums. Based on mentioned study, the programs are drawn up by using VB6.0 visual design system. The visual designs of the continuous miner operating mechanism are accomplished by imputing different parameters of geometry and movement in the visual interface. Kinds of the pick arrangement, the breakout pattern and the curves of load and moment on operating mechanism are output. The design theories and methods are established, and the influence of every parameter on function of continuous miner operating mechanism is researched. The conclusions have great effect on operating mechanism design, and it is crucial to improving design quality and method of continuous miner.
