Radial run-out error has a great influence on gear transmission accuracy. It is an important index of standard gear for synthesis measurement, gear shaving cutter and gear with small backlash. At present, the traditional gear run-out error measuring system is time-cost and hard to acquire higher precision. So it is meaningful and necessary to improve the traditional radial run-out measuring system.In this paper, research results of the gear measuring instrument are summarized; a computer-aided intelligent measuring system is designed and developed to improve the traditional gear run-out error measuring system, which can implement computer-aided measurement and data processing. The main contents are as follows:(1) Mechanical improvement of gear run-out tester is accomplished and relating computer hardware is designed. The modified instrument can meet the demands of intellectualized measurement and work more convenient.(2) Measuring software system is designed, which is programmed in VB6.0. It can finish data collecting, error analyzing, error compensating and results output.(3) Reasons of measurement accuracy are analyzed. Influencing factors have changed because of the mechanical improvement and application of the new measuring apparatus. The influential factors were analyzed in details, such as error of mandril, setting up error and soon.(4) A new error compensation method is introduced. Based on the correlative theory and experiment, the influencing factors are divided into run-out error and fixing error. A new method of error compensation is given, which can be compiled into computer program.Adopting the new system, detecting results can be directly input into the computer, and data progressing can be carried out. It is proved that the new system can get high precision and of error results efficiently. |
