Study On The Properties Of PTT/PBT Blends

The properties of PTT/PBT blends were studied in this paper. DSC, WAXD, POM were performed to study the compatibility, crystallization structures, crystallization properties, crystallinity and crystal morphologies of the blends. The results of this experiment showed in amorphous region PTT and PBT have compatibility, but they crystallize respectively in crystalline region. The crystallinity changes with the content of the compositions. Crystalline properties are better when the content of PBT is different from PTT badly. But the crystalline properties are worse when the content of PBT is near the content of PTT. The time of isothermal crystallization has effect on the morphologies of the crystals. Long time is benfit to the grown of the crystal.
