In this paper, inorganic salt(zirconia chloride octahydrate) was used as precursor to prepare zirconia sol, then the sol was reacted with poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) and poly(vinyl butyral)(PVB) to prepare PVA/ZrO2, PVB/ZrO2 organic-inorganic hybrid materials.In preparation of zirconia sol, the reaction mechanism of H2O2 and the influences of dosage of H2O2, the manner of calefaction on stability of sol were researched. And then the perfect technological condition was established.In preparation of PVB/ZrO2 hybrid material, the characterization techniques such as IR, XRD, TGA etc were used to evaluate the hybrid material. It was found that the ratio of sol/PVB the dosage of H2O2, the heat treatment temperature would influence sol fraction in the material. By absorbency experiments, the influence factors of size and growing speed of inorganic particles were researched, it was found that adding water step by step and controlling temperature would reduce and stabilize the diameter of inorganic paricles.In preparation of PVA/ZrO2 hybrid material, such characterization techniques as IR, XRD, TGA etc were also used to evaluate the hybrid material. The influence of the ratio of organic and inorganic components on the solvent resistance performance was discussed.The solutions of pure PVA, PVB and PVA/ZrO2, PVB/ZrO2 hybrid materials were used to electrospin. The dispersion morphology of these electrospinning fibers were observed by SEM. The influence of the ratio of organic and inorganic components on fiber morphology was discussed. It was found that when the mass ratio of PVA and ZrO2 is 1:3.5 and the mole ratio of PVB and ZrO2 is 4:1, the fiber was lubricous and dispersed uniformly. Increasing the content of ZrO2, the fiber diameter decreased and bead structure increased. The addition of NaCl would decrease the fiber diameter.
