| It is a challenging subject to realize the activation and conversion of methane and carbon dioxide in the catalysts feild. This process is greatly attractive to opimize the utilization of natural and reduce the pollution caused by greenhouse gases.Synthesis of acetic acid directly from methane and carbon dioxide under a mild condition is one of subjects which our researchers focus on in resent years. However, it's showed that the structrue of methane molecule is most stable, so that direct activation and conversion of methane is greatly difficult. Thus, it is key problem of the subject and center content in this paper to realize effectively activation and conversion of methane. The progress ofresearch on the synthesis of acetic acid is reviewed. Based on the progress of research on the super acids making methane active and resuts our lab achieved, Cu-Co catalysts supported by various solid acids catalysts are designed and studied by TPR, TPD and CO2/H2-TPSR technique. Some of these catalysts have been characterized using FTIR,XRD and BET. Main conclusion achieved are showed as following:1 .Cu-Co metals catalysts supported by different solid acids all show good catalytic activation. CH4 could be activated over these catalysts surface under mild condition, and produce various carbonaceous species (CHX). Furthermore, the increase of temperature favors the dehydrogenation of CH4. 2.The acidity of supports has remarkable promting influence on the activation of methane , and at the sametime, has also remarkable selectivity influence on the quantity and distribution of surface carbonaceous species(CHx). However, over strong acidity of support would go against the producing of active sufface speciese. There is aprropriate acidic strength range of catalysts supports:-16.0 |
