Manufacturing industry involves many areas , and consumes vast resource while turns out products and creates wealth . Machining with plate material has a wide use in manufacturing industry . It's of great importance to save resource and reduce cost of enterprise through improving the utility of plate material by using cutting stock software. In recent years, the application of numerical control technology in plate material cutting becomes more and more common . To develop special optimized cutting software oriented numerical control through combining cutting stock technology and numerical technology can improve machining efficiency as well as utility of plate material . This paper analyzed the cutting process of plate material with numerical control machine from the perspective of the integration of CAD/CAM , and studied partial core technologies involved in realizing CAD for plate material layout and CAM of automatic numerical control programming . At first, the basic requirements of numerical control cutting of plate material in manufacturing enterprises are analyzed , on the basis of which , the total design plan of integrated optimized cutting system was put forward . Meanwhile, the structure and function of the system were designed in the plan , and design thoughts and processes of each function model were analyzed . Then , partial core technologies involved in the system were studied . The classical cutting stock algorithm——column generation technology , and wrap up rectangle technology for abnormity are analyzed ; The development of AutoCAD with ObjectARX is studied and the generating method of cutting outline drawing and layout drawing were found out on the basis of analyses of the graph database structure of AutoCAD and the basic operation of it ; The process planning technology of plate material cutting orienting numerical control is studied a process planning method directly based on layout drawing is established ; The emulation technology in AutoCAD is studied and a kind of dynamic emulation method is put forward , which is realized by incrementally modifying graph entity ; The postposition of NC program of the integrated cutting system constructed on software plug-in is proposed , which can effectively solve the problem that it is difficult for a numerical control programming system to be common , which is caused by the difference of instruction format and control parameter between different type of numerical control machine . Based on the researches mentioned above , Some functions of the integrated cutting stock system for plate material was developed , which have been put into effect in enterprise , and have got good application effects.
