The plastic wastes increase more and more as the fast development of plastic industry,and become a serious "White contamination"problem, it has been the intractableenvironment problem at present. As a novel method of waste treatment, super-criticalwater has many physical and chemical characteristics, so it can decompose the wasteplastic into valuable liquid,gas or solid,and solve the environment problem.In this work, the degradation of PS,PE,PP,mixture of PS/PE and PS/PP insupercritical water were studied, and the influence of reaction temperature, time and ratioof water/plastic on the degradation was investigated. The results show that temperature andreaction time are the major elements effecting on the degradation, the conversion and highyield are received if there are high temperature and long reaction time, the degradationdegree will also be deep. The degradation temperature of mixture should base on the moredifficult material. The density and viscosity measure, and the effect of reaction temperatureand time on the viscosity are also included in this paper. Oil products under C9~C23 can begained through GC-MS analysis.In order to research the apply of plastic degradation in supercritical water under thecondition of short reaction time and without oxygen, the factors were discussed whicheffected the experiment, and the components of product were analyzed through GC-MSanalysis. the reaction conditions can be gained in which plastic can be degrade to fuel andother useful material in supercritical. This experiment can offer basic date for water plasticdegraded in supercritical.
